St Pius X College, Chatswood is seeking to appoint a dedicated, energetic and innovative practitioner as a Diverse Learning Teacher for this permanent position. The ideal candidate will have special education qualifications and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team.

 

The successful applicant will:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic Edmund Rice ethos of the College
  • Have special education qualifications or be working towards completing studies
  • Have an understanding of the NCCD process
  • Differentiate the curriculum to suit the student needs
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, organisational proficiency and enthusiasm

  • Provide in-class support for identified students with special learning needs in Years 5-12
  • Assist with the administration of the Disability Provisions process throughout the year
  • Assist with the data entry, file management and maintenance of student records
  • Support the pastoral and academic development of identified students
  • Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, organisational proficiency and enthusiasm
  • Be willing to engage in ongoing professional learning
