Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator

Commencing: 2022

Reporting to:   The Principal

St Pius X College is seeking to appoint an experienced, energetic Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator skilled in contemporary practices. The Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for the recruitment, selection, orientation, induction, retention and pastoral care of College employees. The Human Resources and Compliance Coordinator will ensure that the College is compliant in the areas of EREA Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding, Work, Health & Safety and all non-curriculum policies. This is a full time, non-teaching position.  This role is accountable to the Principal.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Full time position
  • 5 weeks Annual Leave, all other leave provisions as per the NSW Catholic Independent Schools (Support Staff – Model B) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2020
  • Remuneration commensurate with the qualifications and skills of the successful candidate will be negotiated
  • Initial two-year appointment and following satisfactory performance review, further three-year appointment
  • Commencement date January 2022

The successful applicant will:

  • Be committed to and supportive of the Mission of Catholic Schools with specific reference to the Edmund Rice ethos and tradition of the College
  • Exhibit a high standard of competence, professionalism, organisational proficiency and enthusiasm
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Ideally have experience in Human Resource Management in a Catholic or Independent school
  • Have an excellent understanding of contemporary Human Resources practices, processes and legislation
  • Acquire and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all Awards related to the employment of staff at the College
  • Have the ability to respond to and support managers and staff on a wide range of Human Resources issues
  • Possess excellent consultation, negotiation and people management skills
  • Have a commitment to collaborative leadership and decision making
  • Maintain positive working relationships and confidentiality
  • Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have the ability to meet deadlines, prioritise tasks and achieve results in a timely manner
