HSC Results 2022
St Pius X College is very proud of the excellent results achieved by its HSC class of 2022.

The Dux for the year was College Vice Captain Benjamin Cullen who achieved the outstanding ATAR of 99.75. Ben was included in the prestigious list of All Rounders. An ‘all-rounder’ is a student who has achieved a Band 6 in 10 or more units and achieved 5th in the State for Ancient History and 18th in the State for Legal Studies. Ben, from Westleigh commenced at the College in Year 7 and was involved in all aspects of College life including debating, sports, immersion programs and outdoor education. He plans to study Law at Sydney University.
There were several exceptional results with three boys in the Top All Rounders List: Benjamin Cullen, William Staber and Max Leo and three state rankings. Ronan Crispe placed 4th in the State for French Beginners and Benjamin Cullen placed 5th in the State for Ancient History and 18th in the State for Legal Studies.
In total there were 94 mentions in the Distinguished Achievers list. This strong result reflects the achievements of the great majority of subjects with results above state averages with many more than five marks so.
Other High Achievers from the class of 2022 included the following nominations for HSC showcases: Tom Livy Music 1 for ENCORE, William Ramsbottom, Drama for OnSTAGE and William Ramsbottom, Joshua Squires, Jamie Todd and William Walsh-Penny for their HSC Group Performance for OnSTAGE.

A large cohort of students received early offers to further studies and congratulations to Joshua Sheather and Elliot Cook who have received scholarships to study Accounting at the University of Technology (UTS).
Overall, the College is very proud of the class of 2022. They navigated difficult times and proved successful in their studies and in their influence on the rest of the students. Twenty-five students gained ATARs above 90 with 11 of them gaining ATARs above 95, which ranks them in the highest levels of the state, especially creditable as St Pius X College is a non-selective school. As we so often find, the top students are also highly involved students – active in music, public speaking, debating, sport, peer support and peer mentoring. They were ably led by an excellent Captain in William Staber with Vice Captains Benjamin Cullen and Ronan Crispe, who all achieved excellent ATAR’s whilst balancing leadership and public duties over the year. The class of 2022 is a credit to their families and to the many staff who supported them through their time at the College.
