HSC Results 2023
Congratulations on the excellent results achieved by the College’s HSC class of 2023. The Dux for the year was Darcy Keenlyside from Chatswood who achieved the outstanding ATAR of 99.85 and was nominated as a State All Rounder along with Jack Lonergan. Darcy has been a fine student who was awarded the Macquarie University Prize Academic Excellence at the end of Year 12. It is worth noting that close behind Darcy were two students who also achieved outstanding ATARS above 99. In all, 10 students gained ATARs above 95, and 23 students in total were above 90.
These are excellent results and are a credit to the students and their teachers. In total there were 51 boys who were mentioned in the Distinguished Achievers list. In addition, two students were listed as Top Achievers: Connor Lynch, 4th in the State for Business Services Examination and Hunter Thornton 5th for his performance in Retail Service Examination. The great majority of subjects had results well above state averages with many more than five marks.
Other students of particular note were Henrik Hogg nominated for ARTEXPRESS in Visual Art and Caleb Hanrahan nominated for OnSTAGE for his performance in Drama.
The College is very proud of the class of 2023. The top students were also excellent leaders and highly involved in College life being active in music, public speaking, debating, sport, peer support and peer mentoring. They were ably led by an excellent Captain in Eamon Boyle. The class of 2023 were a credit to their families and to the many staff who supported them through their time at the College.
St Pius X College would like to acknowledge the great efforts of our teaching staff in guiding our students to achieve their personal best in their HSC results. We are confident that the young men of the Graduating Class of 2023 through their compassion, courage and knowledge will make a significant contribution to the wider community. We wish our students every success in their future endeavours.
