Retirement of College Deputy Principal, Mr Mark Casey

On Friday July 28, College Principal Michael Ronchetti informed staff and students that after many years of outstanding service to Catholic education, College Deputy Principal, Mr Mark Casey has made the decision to retire at the end of 2023. This was a very difficult decision for Mark because of his love and affection for the St Pius X College community.
Mark arrived at the College in 2011 as Head of Mission & Identity. He was appointed Deputy Principal of the College in 2016. He has been a highly valued member of the College Leadership Team, and an effective Acting Principal when required. Mark has always been energetic and committed to his Catholic Faith. He has also been involved in coaching sports especially Rugby as well as many other school activities. Mark has always been fair, honest and authentic in his dealings with all members of the College community.
The College thanks Mark for his excellent service over the last 13 years. He has been a valued leader in many areas especially in the EREA network and he will be greatly missed.
The role of Deputy Principal is particularly demanding and is an important EREA appointment. As such, EREA will commence recruitment of a replacement for Mark in Term 3.
We all wish Mark all the best for the future and thank him for his outstanding service to the St Pius X College community.
