Counselling Services and MindMatters

St Pius X College Counsellors facilitate MindMatters, the whole school approach for mental health and wellbeing.

MindMatters is a resource/framework that supports Australian secondary schools in promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of all members of the school community. The program promotes resilience in the school context and promotes connectedness and a community approach to the issue of bullying. Teachers are trained in MindMatters, and along with parents and students contribute to the whole school approach to health and wellbeing. Students and parents can also contact the school counsellors for more information and support.

The Counsellors, as well as providing individual support and advice, run a variety of group and whole school activities throughout the year to implement the MindMatters program.
