Supporting SPX

Fundraising at SPX

The income from fees, combined with the financial support from Government grants, supports salaries, maintenance, minor building projects and normal operating expenditure. We rely on the generosity of our current parents, Old Boys, past parents and friends to fund new buildings and projects which ensure that SPX remains able to provide a quality boys' education in the Edmund Rice tradition.

This generosity also allows us to award scholarships, bursaries and prizes to talented and deserving students who help enrich the College community and who gain much from the quality education we offer.

The responsibility for fundraising at SPX lies with the Board's Finance & Development Committee which coordinates appeals and the promotion of the College's tax deductible Building and Scholarship Funds. Fundraising at SPX survives on a continuing culture of charity and generosity within the College community based on pride, appreciation and purpose.

The Finance & Development Committee works closely with the College Principal and Executive, Old Boys' Association and the Parents & Friends' Association to:

  • promote a culture of giving in the Edmund Rice tradition by the College community
  • encourage and facilitate gifts to the College
  • thank and recognise all members of the College community who generously support the College.
