Academic Standards

St Pius X College is a non selective school. It endeavours to promote a love of learning and encourages all students to work to achieve their personal best.

The College is justifiably proud of its academic standards. Results in the National Assessment Program of Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), School Certificate and Higher School Certificate are excellent and consistently well above the state average.

A variety of awards are offered to encourage students and reward academic excellence and effort.

Regular homework, revision and study is part of College policy. There is systematic advice for students on study habits, including study days and tutorials, in keeping with best practice in Boys' Education.

St Pius X College regularly achieves HSC results of the highest level. In 2010, for example 40% of students achieved ATAR’s above 80 and 20% of students achieved ATAR's above 90.
